Purchased this coffeemaker last week and the coffee is good, function of coffeemaker is straightforward, style is a bit primitive. The carafe however leaks like a dribble cup where the glass carafe meets the plastic topper. When I complained to Cuisinart about the poor seal, they said they do not waranty the carafe, my only choice would be to return the entire coffeemaker or pruchase a new carafe. Also the lid snaps on/off the plastic ring atop the carafe, instead of just swinging open, this is an awkward design.
